Faith In Action - A Dialogue on Race, Politics, and Faith-Based Communities in America

OFCS (Reed's Christian Group) and The Veritas Forum present a panel on race, politics, and faith-based communities in America with guest speaker Andra Gillespie, Associate Professor of Political Science at Emory University. Andra will be sharing on the intersection of her research focus in African American politics and her personal experience as a Black Christian--among these, how different communities respond to acts of violence and forgiveness. A Reed student panel will respond with perspectives from diverse religious, ethnic, and political backgrounds, followed by an interactive audience Q&A. The panel will be moderated by Margot Minardi, Associate Professor of History at Reed College.

This event is free, open to the public, and will be held at the Vollum Lecture Hall at Reed College. It is accessible by car, bike, and on TriMet bus lines 19 and 75. Parking is available at the east parking lot.
