New Quantitative Skills & Academic Support Coordinator

I am pleased to announce that Emily Suvada has joined Academic Support as the new Quantitative Skills & Academic Support Coordinator. Emily hails from Australia, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Advanced Mathematics with honors in Theoretical Astrophysics. Emily was most recently a senior quantitative analyst at Commonwealth Bank and the Macquarie Group in Sydney, where, among other projects, she designed and coded systems for investment research.

Emily has experience with tutoring and coaching both as an undergraduate peer tutor and through her professional work. Emily brings a passion for quantitative skills to this position, and is excited to collaborate with students, faculty, and staff. She is available for one-on-one sessions to help students with a wide range of quantitative skills encountered in their courses, and will also be running refresher workshops during the fall semester. Please contact Emily at esuvada@reed.edu if you would like to suggest workshop topics related to your courses or meet with her for individual coaching on quantitative skills.
